Cancellation & Refund Policy

Please read this policy carefully before booking. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this policy.

1. Deposits

  • Securing Your Booking: A deposit is required to secure your booking. By paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this policy.

  • Refundability: Deposits are non-refundable once work has started or materials have been ordered specifically for your job.

  • Company Cancellation: If we cancel your booking through no fault of your own, your deposit will be refunded in full within 5 working days.

2. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

If you are a consumer (not a business customer), you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking confirmation to cancel and receive a full deposit refund.

However, this right is limited if:

  • You request work to begin within those 14 days; your refund will be reduced proportionally to the work completed.

  • Work is fully completed within the 14-day period at your request; you lose the right to cancel entirely.

  • Bespoke Work: Custom materials (specialist renders, colour-matched cladding, etc.) are exempt from standard cancellation rights once ordered.

3. Cancellation After Work Has Commenced

Once work has commenced—including scaffolding erection, delivery of materials, or preparatory works—the following applies:

  • No refund is payable for work already carried out.

  • You remain liable for the cost of any materials purchased specifically for your job.

  • Any outstanding balance for work completed to that point remains payable.

4. Cancellation Charges

If you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period but before work begins, these charges apply:

  • More than 7 days' notice: Deposit retained; no further charge.

  • 3 to 7 days' notice: Deposit retained plus 25% of the outstanding balance.

  • Less than 3 days' notice: Deposit retained plus 50% of the outstanding balance.

  • Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: Deposit retained plus 75% of the outstanding balance.

5. Defective Work & Refunds

If you believe work is defective, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of completion with photographs. You must allow us the opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue before pursuing a claim.

Refund Process:

  • Refunds are made to the original payment method within 10 working days of being agreed in writing.

  • We do not issue cash refunds.

6. Disputes & Statutory Rights

In the event of a dispute, please contact us first at info@bobbyblakes.co.uk. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may refer to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme or seek advice from Citizens Advice. Nothing in this policy removes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
